Special Education Programs Departments & Services

Natchaug Hospital is licensed by the State of Connecticut, and its special education programs are approved by the State Department of Education.


Clinical Day Treatment Schools

The Clinical Day Treatment (CDT) schools are located at five sites throughout Eastern Connecticut. Students are referred and placed by Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) to provide education to these students on a short or long term basis, dependent on school needs.


Youthworks and Supervised Employment Education

Vocational training and teacher-supervised work experience for students in Natchaug Hospital schools.


The Inpatient School Program

The Inpatient School Program serves students who are placed in the hospital by a physician.
